"When Brian and Colleen Ducey's two adult children moved out, their large empty home on a quiet dead-end street in Seattle suddenly lost its homey feel.

MOODY COURSE RANKS AMONG THE BEST
The Moody Gardens Golf Course recently received regional and national accolades.The November-December issue of AvidGolfer Houston magazine ranks the course seventh among the top 10 mid-priced venues in the region among the likes of the Tradition course at Cypresswood and another (almost) Galveston County course, Timber Creek in Friendswood.
Even more impressive is the recognition by Golf Digest (January issue), which called it one of the “Best New Remodel” courses in the country with a rate of less than $65.

Galveston named No. 1 attraction in Texas by out-of-state travelers
GALVESTON, Texas—There’s a lot to see in the Lone Star State, but the No. 1 attraction isn’t far from home at all. Galveston Island has been selected as the top attraction by leisure travelers outside of Texas, according to a report prepared for the Office of the Governor, Economic Development and Tourism. The survey of the state’s top attractions is conducted annually by D.K. Shifflet & Associates.
Surveys were mailed to a panel of domestic leisure travelers who had been to Texas between July 14, 2008 and August 22, 2008. “We are extremely honored to earn this prestigious recognition,” said Lou Muller, Executive Director of the Park Board of Trustees. “Galveston Island offers such a variety of historical and modern attractions and activities to its guests, and it is wonderful to hear that people are enjoying the Island.”
Tourism to Galveston stimulates an $800 million economic impact to the island, which about five million people visiting each year.
